^Did you get layers on the side/back or are they just in the front? I love your hair, I think I'm going to do the same thing. I just need really specific instructions to give to my hair dresser because she likes to get "creative" with me since I have thick long hair which she rarely comes across with her clients (aka I end up looking like a hot mess)

SORRYYY I just saw this now I hope it's not too late tongue.gif Yes I only got layers in the front.

I really REALLY want to cut and color my hair like this. Like I think I'm going to lol. I've always wanted to do blonde, and I like how hers isn't too blonde. The cut is kind of similar to what I have now, but she has choppier bangs and layers. My hair is medium brown... would it be hard to get this color?

I have really long hair right now. I've only had it trimmed in the last couple years, because I wanted it to be long for my wedding. I always said after the wedding, I was chopping it off. Well, I've been married for almost 8 months now, and it's still super long. It's starting to look stringy and not so great, so I need to do something. I actually want to cut it to about shoulder length, but I'm SO scared. I didn't even realize I had become so attached to it! I'm having a seriously hard time working up the courage to do this. I'm so worried I'll regret it. Anyone else go through this? How did you finally become brave enough to go through with it? tongue.gif

That's basically what went down with me... I was so scared and I tried to keep it as long as possible, I just got my hair dresser to cut off the dead ends and give me some layers. My hair was to my rib change almost belly button and now it's just at my boobs and even though people still say it's long it feels short to me. laughing.gif However, maybe four or five years ago I chopped my hair off completely, like past my chin and I've NEVER had it that short. It was brutal and nobody liked it but you know... it grows back tongue.gif Just cut it a bit shorter for starters maybe, and if you like it then you can keep going!

I keep changing my mind! I think I'm just gonna let it keep growing for a few more months till it's the length I want it, then color it. But I'm loving the red/blonde ombre. heart.gif

I have dark brown hair that I only get cut twice a year. Currently it's to my shoulders and I wanted it to be about that long so I can do fishtail braids in my hair (inspired by Glimmer of "The Hunger Games"). When I do get it cut I usually get it cut to my chin. And one summer I streaked it bright red (and then at the end of the summer re-dyed it back to brown and put blonde highlights in, so I'd have normal hair for senior pictures). But with hair my color I can't really lighten it or anything because it wouldn't look good with my skin tone.

Dammit. I don't know what to doooooo. Part of me really wants to cut my hair ala Hayley Williams back in 2007. And I want to color it like hers too. It'd be a pretty huge change. Right now my hair is all my natural color and and length wise is a little above my boobs. I NEED a haircut here soon. The shorter layers and bangs I had around my face are grown out and look really awkward right now. I hate it. And my natural color is so boring. I'm starting to think long hair just isn't for me. When I put it in a ponytail (which I have to for work) it looks stupid right now. I miss having a cute little layered high pony. Ughhh.

I've always loved her hair like that and considered doing the color many times but always chickened out. I have had my hair cut very similar and I miss it a lot.

BUT then the other part of me is just like nooo, keep growing it out. But it's been so frustrating and I don't really like it right now.

You can at least cut the hair around your face for the time being. That's what I did (well I cut all of my hair but it was reaaally more the face part that I was wanting done). I just have it tapered around my face especially so that when I put my hair in a pony tail it will still be seen around my face instead of having it so drastically pulled back.

On the other hand, MY HAIR WILL NOT STAY PARTED IN THE MIDDLE. argh.gif When I first got it cut I did (the picture of it is on the page next to this one) but then I washed it the next day and it went right back to the side even though I dried it to the middle. I always wash my hair at night and every morning it's back to the right. I don't have time to wash it in the morning because I work every morning early (11 is the latest I ever start which I've got right now tongue.gif ) and it's just making me mad because that is why I styled my hair the way I did. no.gif

Ok, I really want to do something different with my hair like ASAP (as in, if they have an appointment open for Friday I'm going..). I need your help!!

I have very thin, very fine hair (I HATE IT), so I was thinking okay maybe I'll finally get extensions - but they ruin your hair, and I don't want to lose the little hair I have left! I want to dye it, but I'm not sure what color.

Right now, I have blonde highlights in my hair, normally it's dark brown. Any ideas??

Edit: pictures (I'm not sure why I tried to blur out my face..ignore it)

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/189/blondewc.jpg blonde highlights - grown out a bit

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/151/regularl.jpg regular hair

I would love to change it up somehow without cutting it...so adding length or coloring it haha.gif

So the Hayley Williams hair is just an impulse I get every now and then, but honestly I don't think I'll ever do it. Cause it would be sooooo much upkeep and I don't know if it'd suit me.

I've debating getting extensions over the last year or so, but always end up ruling against it. Cause like you said they really do damage hair and only last 6 months at the most and are super expensive. My hair comes down to a little below my armpits right now and I really want it to be below my boobs! I've been taking hair vitamins and eat fairly healthy and I think it's helping.

All of my hair is also my natural color for the first time in several years. And sometimes I feel like it's boring, but I think it suits me and I like that I don't have to do any upkeep!

I like the blonde on you! If you want it longer, I'd say just let it grow out cause the extensions are just going to make you have to cut it even shorter when you take them out.

I want to be able to do fishtail braids in my hair but my mom doesn't know how to do them, and neither do I. Any tips? My hair goes to my shoulders and is dark brown.

I agree with youtube videos, it's actually fairly easy. You separate your hair into two sections and do criss-crosses if that makes sense haha.gif I find that its easier with damp hair, or if you have some product in your hair - it's hard when its very smooth (at least from my experience)

thanks ladies! I've fallen in love with fishtails because of Glimmer in "The Hunger Games". And someday when I go out I plan on doing them.

I don't know why but I can fishtail my braid completely perfectly; I didn't even watch a youtube video, I just read instructions and got it hands down. Sadly that is the ONLY hairstyle I can do, not even a french braid. And I failed at the sock bun and most of all I can't do the bangs braid. sad.gif

And I watched youtube videos for those! thumbdown.gif

I can't french braid either. I've tried to learn so many times, but it's so hard to do on my own hair thumbdown.gif My sock bun was the biggest epic fail ever (although it looked cute in the morning all curled)

I can braid really well on other people, but I'm horrible at doing it for myself. laughing.gif And I tried the sock bun and it was terrible. I got so frustrated and gave up. Tutorials make it look so easy! ermm.gif

I'm the opposite - I can french braid on my hair a lot easier than on others. I like doing it when it's wet because I find that it holds better. Sometimes I practice on small pieces of my hair - not sure if that will help! flowers.gif Also, try adding really small pieces.
