I went to the Albany show yesterday along with my friends Laura (dnoriegafan101) and Meaghan (Shmegz). We all gave her letters and Laura and I brought our sign that she loved from Toronto. I went to read her blog today and we were all mentioned!

So, right now I am back stage. I just gave myself a manicure. Nails lookin' fancy now…….oh lo lo lo……Lol. SO, Rami is across from me on her computer as well.

I just twisted my hair and all the girls lookin at me like…"I know you aint gonna go on stage lookin like that"….it was so funny….lol. Just a 'lil trick to define the curls when they miss behaving. For all the chicas out there who have my hair you have to try "Miss Jessies" . She has all kinds; Baby Buttercreme, Curly Pudding…etc. and they all smell like candy. Yummy! I love her hair products! They work so well and make my hair supah soft. Oh lo! I sound like and ad.

So, I got a letter today from Meaghan and it was so sweet! She made all of us year-books back in Rochester. The fans chose songs that were their favorites. They had all kinds of titles….like; most attractive, best dressed, dorkiest, and the list goes on. And in the back of the book were special notes for each contestant. Everyone got their own year book. Sooooo sweet! Thanks girlie!

I got a couple of bracelets today too with a card and another lovely note from a fan. Thanks guys. I appreciate it! Yah keep me smiling!
SO, I said bye to Hess today! I can't wait to see him again. Muah!


..................After the Show.................
I'm on the bus now. I just read a fan letter from two of my Canadian Fans. It was a very sweet letter. They wrote letters to all of us! They were at at the show in Canada too with a black and white sign that read Syesha on it! Yay! They had it today too I believe. I saw another sign in the crowd that said Syesha Mercado. Whoever made it thanks! They gave it to Rami tonight to give to me! Oh lo! I love signs. They always make me feel loved. Thanks guys!

Just wanted to let you know Marissa I saw your sign again in the audience. Thanks for the support!

Today was a good show for me. Things are getting better and better. I'm learning so much and having soooooo much fun. I always look forward to the last song. We all have a good time back stage and on stage. We all are good friends!

The crowd was very energetic tonight. They were very responsive and gave out good energy. Tonight was our last night in the city that never sleeps! (Can't wait to go back) I love New YOrk and I still have to take that carriage ride with the love of my life. We were going to go riding the last night, but it rained. At least we got to spend some time together. Yup....yup....so that makes up for it.

So during the course of writing this blog I made my way to my bunk and I am so comfortable. I don't know how much longer we have to go until Connecticut ( Where I was born..Yay - have not been back since I was nine), but I really love the bus rides. I was able to take a small nap today on the bus. Man I was really exhausted yesterday. I stayed up the night before packing and blogging. I wanted everything to be done in the morning. And I did just that and went to sleep, but I woke up drained, so today off is super for me. I need it. I am spending it reading and relaxing.

I went on Vocal Rest last night which I will continue into tomorrow morning. I can only smile when people ask..."What happened did you lose your voice again?" I just want to tell people read my blogs, so they'll know what is up. I go on vocal rest to rest my voice. It's just what I do. So, my hands are covered with messages now. "Thank YOu", "I'm okay" and most importantly "Vocal Rest! " . I added I'm okay, because some fans assume I lost my voice. I understand though, people get concerned. I just want everyone to be assured I am happy and healthy and there is no need to say feel better, because I feel great! That was a once in a lifetime thing that happened to me....losing my voice. And I'm glad it happened because I learned a lot that week and I am stronger because of it.

I had laryngitis for the first and last time in my life. My voice always holds up well, so that was definitely a test of my faith and determination and I passed. I'm sure the viewers took something away from my memorable experience as well. So, it's all good.

I was thinking about skills for life! One being resolution. It is important to set daily goals and long term ones too. They help give direction and without them you are just floating around aimlessly. They give you motivation and like I say always..... put your attention on your intention.

But in order to attain any goal you need determination. In everything that you do, especially when you are in the process of setting a goal or achieving it remember the word perseverance. It's the commitment to keep going in order to reach happiness and freedom...in order to say "I did it!"

The obstacles will arise....it usually does when greatness is just around the corner. Just know that! Accept it and keep moving forward, because the reward in the end will outweigh all of the struggles it took to get there. It pays off in the end always.
