i hope jessica gets her act together in there. right now i think being away from things for a while will do her some good. if she is pregnant hopefully the baby was not harmed by her drug/alcohol use.

Apparently this news first broke on the Cowhead radio show in Tampa. Cowhead has known and liked Jessica since before her AI days and apparently has mutual friends that have been visiting her in jail. TMZ picked up on it today and now a lot of other folks are joining suit. Ideally, people get their own lives in order before having a child BUT if this is true, perhaps it will be something that gets her back on the right track. She has said that she hated her mom for a long time because her mother chose drugs over her kids; hopefully if she is having a child, Jessica will do whatever it takes to make sure she makes the opposite choice. Kids usually complicate getting one's life in order, but sometimes the opposite does happen. Sometimes people mature really quickly when there is an innocent life involved.

she is doing it for herself. she entered rehab and was on the right track. she relapsed though. i think relapses are fine if you want to get better. look at Lindsay Lohan. she relapsed twice before getting better.

Jay, Dr. Drew has been saying the same thing actually. He says she really worked hard and did well in rehab. She just wasn't really ready to be around her old influences; resolving her first court case, though, made going back home a necessity. Kimberly-Caldwell_4-Life, I definitely hear what you're saying. Children don't usually make things easier, as I said. BUT I have known cases where a child did get someone to finally see the light and get their act together. I'm just trying to remain optimistic, even though I know it may be ill founded. I really do want her to turn things around; she was my favorite on AI4 and I've been following her since then. The news of the past year has been disconcerting to say the least...and while I'm not at all a fan of any of her recent drug-fueled actions, I still love her voice and still am rooting for her to get well.

well we really dont know how shes doing since shes been in jail. but i have faith she can infact turn it around. lindsay was as bad if not in a worse state than jesiica is and lindsay relapsed twice but in the end she has gotten it together. and i think if jessica truly felt that way about what her mother did that will also help her to not relapse this time.

There was always a kind of haunted edge to her. If you read the early recaps of season 4 on Television Without Pity's website, it's scary how accurate Jacob (the main guy there) was about her. He referred to her in one of the recaps as The Rose (ref to Bette Midler film wherein someone with talent is also self-destructive and no one can really do anything to help her). I remember kind of agreeing with him - it was just a vibe really - but I loved her voice (as did Simon!) and I have always been drawn to rooting for the underdog. I also believe she's a good person at heart.

Sorry for the low profile today, not sure what to say.
I love Jessica and her voice, I met her 8 different times, some lasting as long as an 8 hour day.
I had a lot of time to watch her interact with family, friends, mangers, fans and children.
She is a sweet girl, loves kids and was at one time a very loved live in nanny.
I know she has problems now, but I will always support her, turning our backs on her is not the answer.
I will keep praying that she gets into a good quality long term rehab. She will also have better prenatal care if she is pregnant. I don't doubt that she is but I hope she can see now there is a really good reason to stay off the drugs and alcohol and get things back on track for her child. I believe she will do the right thing for the baby.
Jessica's problem is she is an addict with attitude and when under the influence of drugs no one can reach her. I hope with some time in jail and in rehab the Dr's can get through to her to clean her self up so she doesn't repeat the cycle she had with her mother.
