the really awkward question thread! Options

okay. so I have been on here many a time with a super awkward question that I want to ask but there's really nowhere to ask it; and I don't want to start a thread about it because that would make it even more awkward.



so... I guess I should ask the first question.


I have a doctor appointment next week for this condition I have called hydradionitis suppuritiva... it's like; when you get these really really large pimples (like; the kind that hurt.) in awkward places. like your armpits. and. other; *places*; if you get my driftt. and also sometimes on your bum where your undie line is.
so anyways; I'm afraid that the doctor is going to look in places other than my armpit.
and I don't particularly want him to; cause you know how you like; shave there or whatever. well; I have a problem in which I couldn't recently because of my condition.

I can understand how it can be awkward considering your doctor is a man. Maybe if you see a female doctor instead, would that make things not as awkward?

I've had to go to the gyno over 5 times because of a problem "down there".
I couldn't shave my bikini line of anything all summer.
It's really okay.
They'll just look, and they are very gentle.
It's emabressing in the beginning - but in the end you do want
to get better, so you just do it.

hmmm; it will be even more awkard considering my doctor isn't a gyn; it's a dermatologist; due to the fact my problem is a skin problem.
and no; he's a specialist; so I can't get changed to a female doctor. I had to be put on a waiting list and stuff.

And if he does have to look down there - he's a guy,
so he will be gentler than a girl would be.

omgosh. i know how you feel. I couldnt shave after i had my appendectomy, cause they like made scars there, and i was seeing tom, and... it was the most awkward moment of my life. I'm sure he'll understand.

what kind of razors do you guys use for.. special areas.

I understand why you're stressed about it, but you really shouldn't worry. Doctors are professionals and I'm sure they've seen some really weird stuff, so your problem is nothing to feel weird about. It'll be fine.

Trust me, they've seen it all . I wouldn't be too worried about it, I have always just told myself that this is what they are doing for a living, and they're not going to make fun or think of you any less... they're gonna help

Just to let you know, there's like a 2% chance the doctor will even have to look there....
If you already know what's wrong, they probably already know what to prescribe you. If they need to look at one, the ones in your armpit are probably the ones they'll look at.

doctors see these things everyday and they don't even find it awkward anymore. If they don't feel awkward, it makes you more comfortable and i'm sure you'll be fine.
i once had to get my breasts checked with a doctor and i was lying there without a bra on but the doctor was so professional you don't feel akward or embarassed at all. so don't worry

hmm; the same kind I use for the regular kind of areas.

except I use a different razor.

I usually use the green bic soleil razors. they have pivot. also they're green. and lime scented.

^ You gotta make sure not to use a dull razor, use a different razor for that area (if that is what you are talking about) and only use it no more than five times. Make sure you get the skin under warm water so it softens up the hairs, and go with the grain. It also helps if you get your razor warm as well but putting it under warmer water. I use these Avon "bump minimizing pads" after I get out of the shower and they work really well because they "calm and soothe irritated skin after shaving" lol .

but um . what does "doing it" feel like for the first time/howw much does it hurt ?! if you could explain it . cuz none of my friends who are experienced with that know what to tell me ahah

Question: do your breasts ever hurt and do you ever feel small lumps towards the top outerpart [closest to the armpit]? I went to the doctor cuz I was scared it was breast cancer and she said it's probably nothing big but to come back in a month.. but it scares me..

No one can really answer this question because it feels different for everyone. Some people might experience so much pain that they have to stop, but some might not feel anything at all. It depends on many things. The size of the guy, how relaxed you are, whether or not your hymen is broken, if you use lube or not, etc. When the time comes, just try to relax and have fun!

I don't know too much about this, but I do know it's normal to be sore/tender sometimes. When I feel the area you're describing, it does feel sorta bumpy, but I'm pretty sure that's just the fatty tissue that boobs are made of. Maybe what you're feeling is different, but I wouldn't worry too much.

Everyone's first time is going to be different. Some say it hurts so bad they cry.. and maybe even bleed. Others love it! My first time hurt very very bad and we couldn't even finish... but ummm I wasn't "wet" enough. Oh my, I can't believe I just posted that for everyone to read. How akward.

I can't believe I'm posting an answer to this. haha. Like others have said, it's different for everyone. My first time wasn't painful really but it was kind of awkward. I guess it was just somewhat weird that I couldn't fully relax, but it was still enjoyable nonetheless. After you get over the initial awkwardness and all, it's quite fun.
