At the beginning, they thought no big girl could ever get as far as she did, especially after what happened to Jennifer 3 years ago and Mandisa last year. Just when it looked as if she was definitely going home in Part 2 of the round of 6, she pulled a clutch effort like no other to make the final 4. We'll definitely be seeing Kiki again. -------------------- |

Your comments are so kind and so true. Lakisha overcame so many obstacles. This show was out to get her for so long and just kept fighting back. Fourth place is an amazing finish.

Can I just say, although Lakisha was not my favourite contestant out of the Final 4, I am so proud of this woman and she should be so proud of the fact she made it to where she was. Winning is not everything on this show, and she definitely deserves to be able to cut an album, because I think she has a simply amazing voice. Considering her poor financial situation and raising a 4-year-old daughter alone and on top of that being a large girl from an ethnic minority (not that AI is criticised for being racist, more image conscious), she has accomplished not only an impressive placing but what I think are going to be some of the most memorable performances on the show. Her rendition of Jennifer Holiday's "And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going" and Bon Jovi's "This Ain't A Love Song" are performances I will never forget and prove that when her resolve is so strong and she is simply determined to prove a point that she is worthy of the stage she is singing on, she is on such top form that she is intangible. I really do wish her the best for the future, and even though I was rooting for Jordin since about halfway through the Top 12 weeks, her departure did affect me (no previous contestant's had as much). Well done Lakisha and make sure you keep working to get your chance because you truly deserve the best.
