Why in the hell did Lakisha put 'Stayin Live ?
All of those Bee-Gee songs, why would she pick that one? I'm disappointed that she doesn't know who she is ! I found a new respect for Lakisha after hearing three of the professional mp3. I knew she had a wonderful voice but I was blown away as to what a good recording voice she has. I really thinks she sings with more natural emotions than any of the others contestants, including Melinda. However, I do think Melinda is the best performer of the contestants. I do think that she also has a great voice but Lakisha's voice is different. With the right song; just by singing it Lakisha can make you cry just with her vocals. Experts in the musical world could better explain the difference. I've always given Lakisha the edge because she has not had any training; just raw talent. I can't understand why she would pick a song that could not compliment her voice; even if she sang it well. By the way; I do understand the show's strategy in having the contestant pick their your own song selection. This post has been edited by LoveMusa: May 11th 2007, 1:14 PM -------------------- |

I didn't think it was that bad, and I'm pretty unbiased when it comes to favorites.
BTW: "Hell" won't get edited out here. -------------------- |

I think she really connected with the lyrics. I realized they were quite fitting when I was listening to her encore tonight.
I also loved how she switched it up and made it an R&B biting song. I thought it was hot, and I didn't get why people hated on it, but whatever. -------------------- ![]() Set: Katie*iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiYes. we. can.iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiObama IDF thread. iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiKatie* is the bestest. |

I loved her version of Staying Alive. That version would be a huge hit.

I think her version was great.. I only wish she would sing the chorus like she did on results night, getting to the high notes. but still, I think it was great..
