Top to bottom, that was one of the worst premieres of a series I've ever seen. Other than Austin, it was pure karaoke. The judges are lifeless and way too easy to please. The cast, while attractive, is very unlikeable.
Plus, it didn't even live up to its premise. The whole idea was that you'd get an extensive look at life in the house, but they really didn't do that. Aside from that two minute segment on Aubrey and that guy, there was nothing Real Worldesque about the show. All the backstage segments were identical to the pre-performance interviews on Idol. They should have followed the format from "The Ultimate Fighter." Split the performers into two groups. The first half should be purely devoted to life in the house and rehearsing. The second half should be purely devoted to performances. --------------------
