still in the top 10 in the ARIA chart which is amazing, at this time of the year when there are so many party songs and LMFAO is going strong - not to mention Australia's own fabulous GOTYE (who also uses a title "Someone I Used to Know" which has been used some 3 or 4 times for other songs. The only people who comment on similar titles are either trolls or someone who doesn't do any 'homework' first and has no idea. Similar song and music titles have been happening for years!! )

Also saw where @Fredro, who wrote and worked with Guy many many times over the years, got to see him perform in New York, and there some amazing tweets from several who attended at the Underground where Guy went, and where he sang two songs (apparently was asked to do a 2nd one before he left).

Oh, and it would appear from Ronan Keating's show in Brisbane last night that he will be doing XFactor Australia again, so I'm thinking it is most likely that Guy will too, just hope that MelB does - she really adds some spice, no pun intended

thats right Merrill, he's actually originally an Australian so it was quite appropriate.

Its been fairly quiet on the Guy front, he's obviously finishing off his album because there've been tweets from various persons 'in the business' that he's been with them in their studios and it all sounds very interesting. His last tweets indicated he was at Manhattan Beach with some of his friends, and he did an radio interview from there.

We know from what he's said before that he will shortly go to the UK, and then back to Australia. Jules arrived back this week but I'm guessing she won't have too much time on her hands as she'll be preparing for the baby's arrival. (she posted up a cute picture of cupcakes each with a letter on them - apparently was having her bookclub over for a meet).

Sony is aiming at a mid 2012 release for ‘Armageddon’ but fans have already heard the first song ‘Don’t Worry Be Happy’.

With the album comes the tour starting on June 1 in Cessnock, NSW.

“I’m so excited to get back out on the road! I’m playing shows in places I’ve never visited before and I can’t wait to get out and do what I do best, which is sing and hang out with my fans. This one is going to be big!” says Guy in a statement.

Tickets go on sale on Friday February 17.

thats true, re Michael. Stan Walker was in much the same position, having been born in New Zealand and obviously from the islands. He and Jessica Mauboy have gone on to big things, he's so talented.

If any locals are reading, a lot of venues are already sold out (probably more would have been, but its a big month for major concerts )

However, some sold out venues are taking names & contacts, in the chance of a 2nd show being able to be put on. Also, its worth checking the wretched tickemaster / tiketex or whatever and the actual venue, because sometimes better seats come up. A friend who is coming from the UK will be pleased to know that while she wondered whether she should have grabbed a ticket at the one venue she could get to while over in Australia, its just as well she did. It's one of the venues totally sold out.

It also appears he hasn't got to the UK to do any writing, and I'm wondering if he'll make it now. Times running out as the baby is due under a month and Jules will not be thrilled if he's over the other side of the world - and nor will Guy. Originally, he was to be in the UK by 13th June but last night in LA he was out with an industry mate, checking out Hollywood Nightclub music.

Oh, and he missed getting to chat over his music with P Diddy, who'd dropped in and was really interested in a couple of tracks.

ANd the latest re "Who's That Girl" ?? CHeck out EXID's "Whoz That Girl" from Korea! The first beats are the same as "Don't Worry Be Happy" and the chorus is almost EXACTLY the same, plus they throw in the rap and some moves similar to his XFactor performance. Its working for both of the artists, however, and I suspect EXID have done it deliberately. However, as Guy said, his (international) publisher's may be a bit perturbed.

the EXID discussion goes on. It seems even fans of S.Tiger are thinking that he has plagiarised Guy Sebastian's "Who's That Girl" and are really disappointed.

I think, as Guy still has venues selling tickets for his June tour, this could be an appropriate place

with regard to the Memphis Tour, they were amazing reviews, particularly being by those who up to that time rated Guy as just someone a reality show had brought up, and never bothered to attend any gigs to find out for themselves - until the Memphis Tour.

quite a few twitters from the night, looked an amazing venue, apparently some massie marquee at the Treasury Casino, with giant chandelier.

I'd imagine Guy will be hard at finishing his album, as he's said that he intends to bring out the next single this month and of course bub is due in just over a fortnight. Personally - I reckon he's knee deep in putting the cot together and all the baby paraphernalia - there was a beautiful photo of Jules there other on twitter with one of her friends, she looked blooming and so gorgeous.

And although this is not idol, Cosentino, the amazing magician who lost out to Jack Vidgen - and only just - was chosen as World Magician of the year, voted by 36,000 magicians around the world - he has a massive gig in Melbourne on March 17, and hopefully almost the same show in Twin Towns, Tweed Heads - and we are booked to go there. We just make it back in time!

Hi Merrill, so sorry Ive not been hear - had the chance to go to France to work for a little while, during a spruce up of the glorious Chez Jallot (check their website out- love it o ) and came down with nasty flu attack when we arrived home. Worst I've had for years, not really over it yet but at least reasonable now.

So........... Ivan often appears fleetingly here and there. He doesn't appear very Sri Lankan exept for coloring = but as he's a geologist and no doubt out in the sun a lot, hard to tell how much is courtesy of the sun! His brother, Guy's uncle, is a pastor in a church in Victoria. I THINK Nellie has a sister (there's some relation) in Perth, West Australia.

Latest news on Guy's front is - no set date for the new single, but we notice that he's heard Reece's new one, so perhaps the idea is to bring that out shortly. Bringing a new single is all a matter of 'when' .

To help thoughts along with this however, we received emails yesterday via XFactor Australia that tickets are being pre-offered via email, and that Guy is confirmed has having been signed up. I know he really wants to get back overseas, but with a new babe in tow, a solid offer here in Australia is very hard to resist. While I sympathise with him, we are all really happy to have him back on our TV screens again

So the wait is on for the new music. (btw, Guy twittered yesterday that "Don't Worry Be Happy" has gone 4xP- so pleased for him. Can't help thinking that "Who's That Girl" must be so close to being the next step up, but we'll probably never know unless its a special announcment.)
