VOTE FOR MY SITE IF YOU LIKE WHAT I GAVE YOU!!!!!!
anyways I got all the questions fans asked me answeared and it was fun too! Here is Jenny's interview AND then THE NEW VIDEO DIARIES!!!!!!! ->Jenny Gear replies: I am going to continue singing forever no matter what because I would be miserable without it. It's how I release my emotions. I'm going to back to my 'Kittens' and going to continue to make my music which I don't think Canada really got a chance to experience through Canadian Idol. Love, Jenny. This is for everyone who appreciated what I do - it was a "win - win" situation because I enjoyed it more than I can ever explain. Jane: Do you think you grew more as a person, or as a musician, because of this experience? ->Jenny Gear replies: Jane, that's a very good question. I think I grew more as a person because although I learned more about the appreciation of other genres, I learned more about human nature and how to try to get along with people even if they're polar opposites. Earl: How many years have u been singing ->Jenny Gear replies: Earl, my friend, I've been singing since I could talk. And, the very first song I sang was my own rendition of Jingle Bells but, I called it Belly Bells -- I was 1 1/2 years old. tim5440: jenny, if I were to walk into a music store right now, what CDs would you recommend purchasing? ->Jenny Gear replies: I'd say, buy Joni Mitchell Blue, Mermaid Avenue Billy Bragg and Wilco, any Billie Holiday, Mary Black No Frontiers roberta: we will miss u ->Jenny Gear replies: thank you so much -- you haven't heard the last of me! Thanks for all your questions ... Jenny has to get back to her CD release party in 5 minutes. The chat will end then. Thomas: Long live the Folk Music in your heart Jenny...I'm a fan, and a musician of Folk myself, and I think the world has lost touch in the true essence that Folk Music provides to the heart and soul..and even the mind..I KNOW, in my own heart, what Folk music has given to your own heart..proud of you Jenny. ->Jenny Gear replies: I think that folk music by definition is just that-- music from the folk. Music in a pure form, passed down because it's good. Darwin: Are Jenny and the Whiskey Kittens planning on leaving the Rock to go on tour? ->Jenny Gear replies: Yes! We are planning on leaving the Rock on tour. The Rock is always home but although it's fun to be a 'big fish in a small pond' ... it would be nice to 'see the ocean' angie: no questions Jenny, I just wanted to tell you that I think your great, I too was one of those people who didn't get you at first but boy has that changed everyone here cried last night to see you go....We sure do hope that we get to see more of you and your talent in the near future, I'd buy your record in a heart beat..Keep up the good work! ->Jenny Gear replies: I'm glad you gave me a chance. Thank you for listening and my sisters' name is Angie -- she's 11 months younger than me. Crissy: Who did you become the closest with while appearing on Canadian Idol, will you keep in touch with everyone? ->Jenny Gear replies: We really did become very close during this experience. Richie and I have a very special relationship. elwood: How hard is it to come and sing "cold" like the Idols have to do on the show? Were you glad you sang Rocket Man, after all? ->Jenny Gear replies: The judges get to see a dress rehersal before the actual live performance. I'm thrilled that I sang Rocket Man -- if you listen to the words and you're a fan...I think you'd understand why. Thank you. Thomas: Hi Jenny ->Jenny Gear replies: Thank you so much. I would like to think that a real artist does work because they need to -- I need to keep singing ... I can wake up and I know I can sing and be happy. Sue: Who do you think will end up winning? James@Home: Who do you is the toughest judge and who do you think is the most fair? ->Jenny Gear replies: I think Jake is the toughest judge and I think that Zack is the most fair. Armin: Jenny how long does it take you to straighten your hair ->Jenny Gear replies: we'll I didn't even know how to before. Yeah it's true, but now that I know it takes me 30 minutes, but my first time was awful. It was so so complicated and I thought I won't be successful, but oh I was. SARAH: what is your band in newfoundland called? ->Jenny Gear replies: My band at home in Newfoundland is called Jenny and the Whiskey Kittens. The name is misleading because they're all guys SARAH: JENNY, i am your biggest fan ever and cried when you were voted off!!! If you could please answer this question I would be so excited!!!! Are you planning to record a cd anytime soon?? ->Jenny Gear replies: Thank you so much. I appreciate it. I would love to make a CD -- have you checked out the Top 11 CD?? You can get it at any Wal-Mart around. Thanks for your interest comet: hi jenny! were you surprised at last night's results? ->Jenny Gear replies: I was prepared each week to go home because I kind of kept myself guarded as much as I could and but, of course I was naturally disappointed as anyone would be. elwood: I'm one of the people who didn't "get" you at first, but I want you to know that I finally did, and did vote for you. Any chance you'll show up at the Edmonton Folk Festival next year? I'd love to see you there -- they'd love you!! ->Jenny Gear replies: Folk Festivals are where I started my performing career. Folk music is what I grew up singing and it's my comfort zone. Jenny Gear is here ready to answer any of your questions so feel free to ask ... Leo: Jenny, do you prefer your hair straight or curly? ->Jenny Gear replies: I prefer my hair curly because to be quite honest it's easier but, the straight hair is really really fun and I'm going to buy a straightener as soon as I get home. Sue: Did you enjoy your over all experiance of the Canadian IdolAnd would you do it again? ->Jenny Gear replies: I had an incredible experience. I would certainly do this again. It's an opportunity of a lifetime and I would encourage anyone who enjoys singing to audition next year. Sorry for the delay but Jenny Gear is now ready to chat with all her fans. Thanks for your patience. GARY AUDREY BILLY RYAN -------------------- |
