Looks like he got his wish to extend his TV time. I found this article online. Basically, Matt Rogers got offered to host his own TV show on VH1 and to do something in an Adam Sandler movie. Since everyone is particular on articles and documentation, I copied the part of the article below that are relevant. The rest is a life sketch that won't interest anyone but Matt Rogers fans (which are few and far between).

By JESSICA SEGURA STAFF WRITER There is more to American Idol finalist Matthew Rogers than people saw on national television. "I like to sing opera," he said and gave the audience in Rancho a sample of his talent. He continued to tell the Rotary members that after his performance at the San Diego restaurant, a man approached him and said he should be on American Idol. "I waited in line for 14 hours at the Rose Bowl to audition," he said. Matthew Rogers made it to be a finalist but was cut in March. Even though he didn't become the American Idol winner, he still received fame from being on the show, he said. "My life has changed since then," he said. One example of that was when he was at Chili's restaurant and 30 people crowded around him and his fiancée asking for his autograph. "I can't live like this," he remembered thinking at that time. Since then, Matthew Rogers has been offered to host a VH1 show and also to play in a movie starring Adam Sandler. Despite his success, he still enjoys working his full-time job as a loan officer. It felt good to be "back to normal," Matthew Rogers said of being eliminated from the show in March. "Everything happens for a reason," he said. --------------------

I'm definitely not a fan of Matt Rogers as a singer but I think its awesome that he has offers. He's definitely seems like a great person and he's pretty funny too.
