NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — World Vision president Richard Stearns and singer Melinda Doolittle will be featured at the 37th annual Tennessee Prayer Breakfast on Thursday in Nashville.
Gov. Bill Haslam and various elected officials also are to participate in the activities at Lipscomb University. World Vision is a Christian relief and development organization that has called on American churches to respond to the global AIDS problem. Doolittle finished third during the sixth season of "American Idol." She has sung background for performers including Aretha Franklin, Michael McDonald and Aaron Neville. The breakfast is sponsored by the Citizens Committee for Prayer. -------------------- |
