What's everyone's take on this? There was actually a serious discussion in a facebook group I'm in about someone wanting to name a girl Bellatrix and honestly that scares me a bit. Granted, some names are normal, but Bellatrix is just too weird.
And Sirius. I would never do that. I mean the kid'll go through life as "Are you serious?" -------------------- ai-KA. KC. JC. mg. js. cu. | sytycd-GM. CG. RR. AW. jm. tj. mk. es.

Yeah I would never name my kid Narcissa or Albus (haha Albus Severus) or ... Grindelwald, or anything like that. As much as I adore HP, that'd just be mean to the kid. Even Hermione would be weird.
 But the more reasonable names like Lily, Luna, Harry, Ron ... I would use those as middle names. To be honest I always liked the name Luna. And Ginevra's kind of a cool name.  --------------------

^ I agree. I would also use those as middle names. I also really love the name James for a boy. But if it's a girl I really love the name Joanne

One of the "weirder" names I actually like is Andromeda. It's Greek, it has history. Besides, you could always call her Andi...

Some of the names wouldn't be too bad...like Lily, Luna, Ron, Harry...but if kids start popping up named Remus, Sirius, Nymphadora...that may be a tad weird.

Hermione is actually a bit more common in the UK. But here in Canada if you named your kid Hermione everyone would know you were an HP fan.

My friend says she wishes she could name a son Sirius. But her last name is Lee, so that would be really bad. Sirius Lee.
This is, of course, if she gets married to someone with the same last name as her or keeps her last name and has her child keep it.I love the names Lily, Harry, and Molly, so I would have no problem using those names. I also think Fleur and Lavender are beautiful names. And I think some other names in the series are fine to use, such as James, Luna, Ron, the other Weasley names, Dean, and probably more I can't think of. --------------------

^ my aunt's name is Lily too... it use to be spelled as Lillie but she changed it to Lily...
