If we were considering Poland, then I'd be thanking my lucky stars that Ania & Adrian became a "legitimate" couple while dancing their Jive, even though their showcase Cha Cha far surpassed it.  Because couples that were formed during the showcase or finale, were (for the most part) given routines that were tailor made for them, versus "regular" couples who got "the luck of the draw" (or however else their routines were chosen). For several non-competition couples, that would potentially give them an unfair advantage, making it hard to compare them to couples that got their routines under less optimal conditions.
