  1. Idol is much more aggressive on social media. They post a lot more about about the contestants, tagging them, etc. The Voice posts more about the coaches, and less frequently in general. It’s up to the contestants to keep those “followers” engaged. That’s easier said than done.
  2. Is the person who came forth with this info on Kayko’s song choice someone know to have credible sources?
  3. I don’t usually do these rankings, but here we go: 1. Will 2 McKenna 3. Triston 4. Abi 5. Mia 6. Roman 7. Jayna 8. Emmy 9. Jack 10. Nya 11. Julia 12. Kayko 13. KB 14. Jordan
  4. My prediction is either Nya, Triston, or Jordan will take the W We will both be right.
  5. Will: “Purple Rain”, and there just happens to be a video of him singing it today. I doubt this will be his song, and it would be a risk, but one worth taking, IMO. https://facebook.com/groups/1081024632987417/permalink/1100075627748984/
  6. He did two lives today, singing in both of them. I don’t think he can stop. He kept saying, “last song,” but still kept taking requests. 5-6 songs later, he was still saying, “last song.” The comment about getting his voice back to where he wants it to be, made me wonder if he wasn’t at full strength this week.
  7. This rendition of “Purple Rain” is awesome. I’d be very tempted to pull this out for rock and roll hall of fame week. It’s from one of two lives he did today. There’s apparently no such thing as vocal rest for him. I caught a bit of his second live tonight, and he said he lost his voice last week, and got it back just in time for his performances. He did a lot of long lives, before that, taking requests and singing for hours. https://facebook.com/groups/1081024632987417/permalink/1100075627748984/ There are a few other clips from this live on this same account. Triston and Jordan were there too.
  8. A different show, but the best example I can I can think of for a winner who did a lot of uptempo, and excelled at it is Chevel Shepherd. I wouldn’t recommend for anyone, though. That’s her wheelhouse. I also remember some promising runs stalled by going uptempo, just one time. That’s why they don’t do it.
  9. There’s always this one, which was your best performance on TV IMO, and generated a lot of Facebook love.
  10. Mia, Don’t forget to sing a song about Jesus. That always helps.
  11. Will, on his live, said he lost his voice last week, and didn’t get it back until that last minute. I’m thinking the fact that he was doing lives every night, singing for 2+ hours might have had something to do with it. That’s what he’s doing right now, too. He claims he’s doing it to get his voice back on track, whatever that means. Vocal rest might be a good idea.
  12. I’ll start it off. 1. Triston 2. Will 3. Abi 4. McKenna 5. Kayko 6. KB 7. Emmy 8. Mia 9. Jack 10. Julia 11. Roman 12. Jayna 13. Jordan 14. Nya These are mostly wild guesses.
  13. Some iTunes numbers from this week’s performances (original songs only): ”Gone For Good” - Will Moseley #8 all genre, #2 country “Girl I Am Now” - Kaibrienne #195 all genre, #50 pop.
