Forums Upgraded to IPB 1.2 RC1, More features, faster searches Options

Greetings all,

Earlier this morning, we have upgraded our forums software from Invision Power Board 1.1.2 to 1.2 RC1. While this version is not the final version of Invision 1.2, the RC (Release Candidate) status gives us confidence that this release will be stable enough to run in a production environment. We've encountered a few minor issues earlier today but they were resolved.

Invision Power Board 1.2 includes built-in support for features such as:

• Fast Reply (aka Quick Reply, you can set this under My Controls, Board Settings)
• Faster forum search using a FULLTEXT index
• More smilies/emoticons (so many that you have to click on "Show All" when posting to see the full list!)
• Search engine recognition (Google, Hot Bot, etc.)
• Many other administration and maintenance improvements
