New song "Vomit" from the upcoming album (had to get creative with the words I used to narrow the search...apparently "Girls Vomit" brought up reaction videos to 2 girls, 1 cup haha.gif):

Nights I spend alone. I spend 'em runnin' 'round lookin' for you, baby.

Love it.

New song "Honey Bunny" streaming. That song title makes me think of Pulp Fiction haha.gif. Wonder if he's a fan of that movie.

I heard the album last night. I didn't like the first song, but the rest of it sounded solid. "Vomit" was definitely the highlight.

I like "Honey Bunny." Especially the interlude. But yeah, "Vomit" is one of the highlights. Another highlight for me is "Just A Song."

It just feels like it's gone,
all of it's gone,
gone away
It seems like nobody's happy now,
it feels like nobody's happy now

I really like "Alex" also. Overall, I think it's a very good album. Not as good as their first though (or their EP for that matter). I'm seeing them on Monday. Can't wait.

^ "Alex" is kind of shoegazy and reminds me of My Bloody Valentine.

^Yeah, I can see that. I saw some of that on their last EP too with the song "Carolina."

^ Thoughtful of them.

Aside, I've been dangerously obsessed with "Die." Great way of getting things stirring on mornings I'm too late for coffee. haha.gif

I know I'm late with this, but damn, didn't know Chris Owens had broken up the band to go solo. That sucks.

Girls has some of the best music I've ever heard. "Hellhole Ratrace" is one of my favorite songs and "Vomit" is beautiful wub.gif I personally like FSHG more than the first album but that's just me. I'm sad that they broke up too, but I saw one of Chris Owens' live shows a couple of weeks ago and his solo album sounds like it's going to be really good. A lot of the songs had the same flute instrumental in it and it's supposed to be a cohesive concept album. Also, he was amazing live, the emotion in his songs really was relatable.

I knew he was going solo but also just recently heard the band was officially broken up. I wonder why. I felt like they were about to take off.

I like FSHG better too. "Lust for Life" is maybe my favourite song by them, but the second album is one of the best rock albums I've heard in awhile. "Vomit," My Ma," "Die," and "Alex" = all awesome.
