Dance 8 Broomfield, CO Review, Including HD Video and Photos!!! Options

Hey everyone! I recently moved to Albuquerque, so I was super bummed that I wasn't going to be able to go to tour. But just a day before the Colorado show, I found a friend who wanted to go with me, so we drove SEVEN hours to see the show! What's even better - we had 2ND ROW SEATS!!!! This meant something AMAZING for me, but unfortunately, I don't have as good of an 'overall view' as I had with the Season 7 tour videos. Everyone on YouTube has pretty much come to know those as the 'definitive' S7 tour videos, just because I had a really good seat/camera/lens combination haha. So I'm still going to put up my S8 videos, but since I was in the 2nd row, they're really really close shots, and nowhere near as 'clean' as last years (ie. sometimes heads in the shot, etc).

BUT I'M SO EXCITED TO UPLOAD ALL THE VIDEOS AND PHOTOS AND SHARE THEM ALL!!

Really glad to have Marko back on the tour - Mitchell was out tonight though.

I haven't seen too many tour videos, and I didn't really remember the order of the show or the dancers, and to be honest, I don't remember distinctly a lot of this season lol. But I do remember for sure "Piece of My Heart" was done by Caitlynn and Ricky. Unfortunately, I think I have video of only the last half of that - cause I didn't really love that routine, but then I figured I should tape it cause Ricky was in it - unless he was a switch-up from the get-go like Jess being in the Mirror routine with Melanie but I'm guessing that wasn't the case.

So I've been to 4 tours now (S2, S4, S7, and S8), but never have I been this close. 2nd row. My friend Dalton and I were pretty pumped and ecstatic. As soon as the lights went down though, and the music started, I hit record - and watched the whole opening number through my camera. I was actually SO CLOSE that with my lens (the only one i had), I wasn't even able to get a view of the whole stage.

I actually felt kind of bad, because while I'd been much further away last season, I was in the perfect position to take amazing video. And I was worried that I was going to disappoint people with these. But I kept shooting. I kept shooting and shooting the opening until the lights got bright and they struck their pose.

And that's when I first put the camera down. And then it hit me. I was freaking like ten feet away from these dancers! I didn't really get a sense of it through the lens. So a lot of the show I didn't tape, just so I could enjoy it.

I've always loved Melanie, but she wasn't a favorite of mine on the show, but just seeing her live validated every good thing any person said about her ever. Missy really flourished too. You could tell that she could have gone far. It was sad not to see Miranda, but at least then I was enjoying the whole show instead of singling out one dancer (ahem*BILLY*ahem). Though I did focus on Jess and Ricky a lot - cause they're freaking BEASTS.

The first videos! YouTube doesn't seem to like me right now, or they're just not coming out as good as they did last year. I'm going to try to include some at 1080p in the future and see if that helps. For now, here's 720p videos of the first couple performances!
