The other thread was gone. I figure I needed to start one up again. I've been depressed lately. I've tried to think good. However I just get in this rut. I'm not happy with growing older. I'm not happy with myself at all.

So I have a problem. I'm sorry if I scare anyone out of adopting a child. Hahaha. I only say that cause I'm adopted. Well, I honestly feel like my parents hate me. They have two biological kids and the first born is always loved the most, whoever gives you grandkids is awesome, and my other sister was adopted before I was. Everything she does, she gets praised for. It's so annoying. She gets an A in her class it's "Oh Breanna! You're so wonderful, that's great!" It's nothing new that she gets good grades. I make the school play it's like "Oh, that's good. " Seriously. They give her money, love and praise for her accomplishments, I get "that's great." I don't get why they hate me so much. I don't fit into this family and it's so annoying that everyone else is so perfect and I'm just the black sheep.

I don't think it's cause you're adopted, some parents just don't know how to treat all their kids equally or respectfully. Upon thousands of kids have got this treatment their parents, including myself, and I don't know what causes it. It seems to me it just stems from ignorance and they don't think to ask or take your feelings into consideration because they probably just assume, "oh they're fine". Or they don't pay mind to their behaviour. I think it's the latter. People, especially parents, just don't take time to think anymore.

I honestly don't know the answer to get out this, or thinking that they hate you, so I'll tell you that you'll learn this from this. By suffering this pain you'll know better if you become a parent not to do it to your child(ren). Whenever I'm neglected or abused by my parents that's what I already say to myself, it makes me feel better.

I have to get away from my boyfriend. He's depressing me even more than I already was. I've never felt good enough for anyone, or anything, in my entire life. He's just making that worse. I love him for some reason, though.

I agree with what you said. Adopted or not, some parents don´t always treat their children equally.

I´m 18 y/o, the youngest of five girls but ever since my life went down hill. My mum has stopped believing in me. She acts so happy around my other sisters because they have their life together and is working/studying and doing really well. She makes me feel like a failure. I´ve told her I´m depressed but she still calls me lazy and says really mean things. Deep down, I´m suicidal and fragile, but she treats me like I´m fine.

Ever have one of those days where you really need someone to save your life?

That's me today. If I were actually at home and/or had the courage to do it I'd like to think that I would. I don't have time to really share the intimate details at this point, but yeah. I need someone to save my life. I wish my wife would do it. I know we'll talk like we do every day and it'll be all well and good. Casual conversation with a hint of flirting. She'll ask me about my day and then we'll talk about how shitty my life is without her. She'll feel really good about herself and I'll feel like a complete failure, but no longer ready to do the deed. Then tomorrow the cycle will start all over again.

How do you justify continuing to live a life that isn't what you want or thought it would be? How do you justify your own existence when it's complete misery? How do you justify faith in a God who seems to be on vacation or totally aloof? Why does the worst stuff happen to the best people I know?

Why can't I trade places with my cancer ridden Uncle who actually wants to live, but will be dead before the week is out?

I've been depressed on and off since 2005. I've been kind of up and down each day lately since I move away from home...I'm happy that I get a fresh start (Well, kind of a fresh start because I've known 3 people in my university for years because 2 of them I went to high school with.) but I'm also sad as hell because I miss my family and my dog so much. In general I feel happier here but I still feel so down everyday.

That probably didn't make sense, but my brain is so jumbled right now.
