ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI-FOX2now.com)— This was the final night of a long audition process where 48 women tried out for only 30 available spots. FOX 2'S Mandy Murphey emceed the event along with former Ram D'Marco Farr. The ladies were judged on their interview and dance skills.
The celebrity judges included former Ram Orlando Pace, Blues forward David Backes, and former American Idol contestant Nikko Smith. In a special twist Thursday's event was open to the public and all the profits from ticket sales were donated to breast cancer research at the Siteman cancer center. One of Thursday's judges is a former rams cheerleader herself. She is also a two-time breast cancer survivor who presented the check to charity. "It touches my heart that they're willing to make such an effort for breast cancer. It's so important. Early detection saves lives, and the research and funding that goes into research is so important. Myself being a two-time breast cancer survivor, and being a Rams Cheerleader, I'm so proud to say that I am part of this family." said Lyly Koenig. -------------------- |
