SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA - SEASON 5
It's back, bitches.

THE BACKSTORY:
Shortly after CTV cancelled SYTYCD Canada (due to the judges shenanigans, obviously), CBC began work on picking up one of Canada's most popular reality shows.

Shortly after the holiday season, CBC began contacting various Canadian celebrites to become a part of the show, though Leah Miller was interestingly enough not contacted. With Tre, Jean-Marc, Luther and Blake signing on again, CBC was ready to go ahead with production on a fifth season of SYTYCD Canada.


THE FORMAT:
Unlike in seasons three and four, the judges weren't allowed to pick 22 contestants and mess everything up. And unlike in seasons one and two, they can't make it a Top 20 either. See, CBC is considering this a test season for the new So You Think You Can Dance Canada and the show will only feature a Top 16 this year. And so BCCE can have an even 100 dancers.

Six dancers who had been so close multiple times were called back into the Top 16, and they will be joined by ten new dancers from all across Canada. So who are they? Well, that will all be revealed shortly...

For the first three weeks, your Top 16 will dancing as pairs, though the couples will change every week. Once Top 10 hits, however, Canadian all-stars will be brought in to dance with the contestants until the finale. For Top 8 week, contestants will resume doing contestant/contestant routines.
