I can't wait until his album comes out. But I hope and pray RCA chooses better singles to release from his new album. I loved Light On, but never really liked CBTM--sorry. I think Avalanche or Lie had much greater potential to become hits, and besides David had a hand in writing those. I never understood why they didn't choose one of these instead of CBTM.

I'm the opposite. I never really liked "Light On." However, CBTM was one of the better ones out of the ones chosen for singles. I love "Bar-Ba-Sol" the most but it didn't get as much noticed like the other two did. Really RCA didn't do a good job choosing singles. And I agree, "Avalanche" or "Lie" had much greater potential to become hits. At least David went platinum despite RCA minor issues. That's such an achievement these days.

Hopefully RCA could get there act together, and choose more wisely singles for DC's sophomore album.

I'm so ready for the new album that it's not even funny. I would have loved loved LOVED Lie or Heroes as singles. But I was happy with the two that he had. I just can't wait for the new album. Have you guys heard the song he did at Morongo? You and I. It's amazing.

Me too. Season 7 was my favorite season along with 5 and 4. This season is like another season 8 for me. I may like a few other contestants, but I'm only supportive of one contestant. Those seasons (especially 7) had a much more likeable and talented top 12. It felt more like a competition, but this year seems less competitive which is pretty boring. This season did have potential until the results of the top 12 came in. It's too bad.

Though, I still think this season could surprise me.

I do all the time. I hated season eight and this season is turning out so wrong. Plus season 7's top eight (that includes KLC - girl could sing, she just sucked at picking songs) is definitely the most talented top eight in any Idol series.

I'm not sure what this season reminds me of yet. Not season 8 though. I think it reminds me more of season 7 (the Lee/Cook thing, probably) but the overall talent is nowhere near what season 7 had. Or season 8, which was also pretty talented. I thought season 5 was pretty great too, with so much talent in the Top 4 (Daughtry and Elliott, especially). But I think season 9 is starting to have its own "feel" that is unlike any other season. I would like it to turn out the same way season 7 did though (if you know what I mean) even though the chances are against that right now. But this is Idol and things can change.

KLC was underrated vocally. But I agree with you about her song choices. Remember 8 Days a Week? The only contestants in the S7 Top 12 I didn't care for were Ramiele and David H. I liked MJ during the show, but grew to dislike him later on. Hell, I even loved Syesha.

I loved season 8 even though my favorite didn't make the finale. He still came in high, and both Kris and Adam were really talented and deserved to the final two.
The semifinals format sucked though. I'm so glad they brought back the Top 24 and ditched the judges's save (useless) and wildcard picks (also useless).

My biggest problem with season 8 was that it wasn't American Idol, it was Producer's Idol. They brought the groups-and-wildcard format in so they could get the Top 12 they wanted, they had the save so they could get the finale they wanted (which was useless since Danny and Adam were never in danger when the save would've been able to be used), and they were way too lenient on the ones they liked vs the ones they hated (such as Danny's critique of Dream On compared to Kris's and Allison's that week, or even how much they pimped Adam).

That was my biggest problem with season 8 too. I'm glad this year went back to the original format. However, the talent is really lacking.

Aww, I liked Chikezie. Couldn't stand Ramiele--IMO she shouldn't have been in the Top 12 at all.

ITA. Much I loved Matt, he got saved too many times--and for what? For him to come in 5th place? The save and and wildcard picks were totally wasted, IMO. They never had to use them on Adam or Danny--and you know for a fact they would never have used them on Kris or Allison.

You know how much I love Danny, but I actually agree with you about this. But my reasoning is that his fans became complacent--and if he had been criticized more, I think his fans would have voted harder for him and he might have made the finale. I'm not bitter over it though--it was what it was--and things happen for a reason. Danny is doing very well, much better than even his fans expected. Adam--same thing. He was the most pimped contestant in Idol history and I don't think that did him any favors either. You'd think the producers would learn from their mistakes and if they want a certain contestant to win/make the finale, they need to tone down the pimpage, especially early in the game. That's one of the reasons I think Crystal will not win.

I agree about Alexis. She never had a chance. That's another reason I hated the Top 36 format--they had only one chance to prove themselves in the semifinals. One bad night and they were toast. Also, with the judges having so much control, some deserving people like Ricky Braddy or Jesse Langseth didn't make the Top 13--they would have been threats to the producers' favorites and they couldn't allow that. The scary thing is that if David Cook had auditioned in season 8 instead of season 7, he wouldn't have even made the Top 36. Simon hated him at first, he wouldn't have been a wildcard pick, and he didn't start out as one of the more popular contestants.
