You've missed the point that there is a third category beyond "currently huge or used to be big" when it comes to a idol-- popular, successful former contestant. It's an idea that's been kicked around for two years now. And maybe this is the year that Idol hires one. Or maybe not.

I think they were/are playing with the idea...of showcasing famous and successful American Idols....

Which would demonstrate the power of ...The American idol....Brand !!!

Idol contestants have been successful....with high name recondition.....

as of yet...The Voice .....contestants...not so much......


I did enjoy watching the show last night....especially Cher.....

I watched her livestream...interview......just love her !!!

I'm confused -- didn't Brian Bessey say that Adam told them 'he hadn't been asked'. I don't hear that at all in this interview. It's a bit hard to hear the interviewer but I don't hear Adam say "I haven't been asked".

I'm going to put on my crazy hat here and say that I take his reaction to the questions as a positive. It almost seems like 'I know something but I really can't say anything'. He really didn't want to talk about it. Of course, I'm probably just seeing and hearing what I want and he really knows nothing and hasn't been contacted. Or he knows they've scrapped the whole former Idol as judges idea and he's done with it.

I really hate that I allowed myself to get sucked into the speculation and caught up in all of this -- taking crazy hat off now. Whatever happens...happens.

You know what? I got that same vibe from him when watching the interview. He seems to have a sexy "i know something but I can't tell" smirk on his face.
