Oh and some of the media has the nerve to say dont jump to conclusions cause of the Duke Lacrosse thing where everyone accused the guy of rape and found out the girl lied. That is different. Shouldn't Zimmerman have asked him first, what he was doing if he was so concerned? Also he was told buy the police, not to pursue Trayvon. He should be in jail based on that. he kept going after him after he was told not to.

Drew, I understand what you're trying to say. Like I've stated before, I am a Communications major. My concentration is in PR, but I've had several journalism and broadcasting classes as well. The media isn't supposed to edit things in a way that deliberately sway the public-and that station did so unconsciouly or not-it's still not ethically correct. It is frustrating me how it is being handled. I am very saddened and disgusted over Zimmerman not being arrested, but the media sure isn't doing EITHER party any favors. They need to lay off for a while until they get concrete facts. Although, I'm just as guilty because I am following it.

I'm point out the complete bias of the national media on this issue. I'm not saying you're not correct, they just wanted it to be that way from the start.

That's not what I was saying at all, but leave it to you. They knew what they were doing. You really think it was an innocent mistake?

I'm not saying it was an innocent mistake. I'm just saying that it means nothing in the whole scope of things.... it doesn't change anything. Whether his intent to kill Trayvon was because he was black, or because he was wearing a hoodie, or because he looked shifty, or whatever it was... it was unfounded, he was told not to pursue Trayvon, and he did anyways, and murdered him. End of discussion.

But even if they originally aired the entire clip, it wouldn't have changed public perception on the fact that he should have been arrested.

I'll give him a pass on maybe not knowing that those things were specifically written on black buildings and by that crazy Pastor. However, lol@celebrating "long live" type of sh*t. It's like boasting about what he did. Who feels that way? Even if you have to kill someone, I don't think you'd be prideful about it. It's a tragedy all around.

Its about time, Zimmerman was arrested and charged with 2nd degree murder. even if Trayvon fought him he had every right to under stand your ground. Zimmerman was following him for no reason, after he was told to stop. I mean its not like Trayvon was looking to break into a house or car, he was walking home. what right did Zimmerman have to follow him. Was Zimmermans life in danger, no? Trayvon never went after him, he was standing on the sidewalk in the rain going home. The arrest should have been made right away.

Lost in all of this is the parents' pain. Here is Trayvon's dad talking about finding out that he was dead, and Trayvon's mom talking about all of the dreams he'll never be able to pursue now, and what she misses about him:





I wish I could find the clip of his mother talking about finding out about his death, though. It was heart-wrenching. She got the call at work that he was missing, so she left work, and then got the call in the parking lot that he was dead. I can't even imagine...

I understand your point, Drew, and I've always understood it. Where I disagree is that there's a REASON the media is desperate to convict him - the facts WERE and ARE out! The facts show that a black boy is dead for doing absolutely nothing wrong and the killer hasn't even been arrested! Of course the media will side with the victim!

So bail means that you've paid the bond of [however much the court set] and therefore that's supposed to "guarantee" that you will show up to court and be tried. So yes... he is supposed to still be tried in court. Theoretically, if you or someone you know doesn't have the funds to pay the bond (or, levy an asset like a house against the bond I think is also an option) then you would be stuck in jail. Depending on the crime/circumstances, you can also be held without bail.

And now Zimmerman is back in jail,. this time t here is proof he did something illegal. Apparently he was not aware that hi conversation with hi wife while he was in jail would be recorded. Who doesn't know that?

Apparently he lost his passport a few years ago, got a new one , then found the old one. When asked to turn in his passport, he turned in the old one which had expired and kept the latest one with a later expiration date. He also knew about the amount that was raised from the web site and knew he would have access to that money, so his plea of poverty at his bail hearing was perjury. This is a guy who can turn lemonade into lemons.
