And I just had a hunch that she would be one when she was on the show, she just seemed like she'd be the kind of person that turned out to be one. And yet you have no shame or embarrassment in going out of your way to come here and judge another person as though you were appointed to do so by God? Frankly I'll take being viewed as a compassionate fool any day over judgmental and mean-spirited. There are lots of "celebrities" whose actions I don't care for; I don't have the time or desire, though, to go kick them when their down in their own forums.

Also to be clear - as a few of you seem befuddled by what addiction is - none of us here are fans of her current actions; we just know that Jessica on drugs is not Jessica and that blanket statements like yours are based on a black and white, cut and dry world that does not exist. We have compassion for her as a deeply troubled human being who made a really bad choice to try drugs and is living with the consequences of that choice now. She chose to try drugs; she didn't choose to become an addict. Her actions when out of her mind, though, shouldn't be assumed to be an indicator of her "true" character or feelings. Dr. Drew Pinsky says that's not accurate at all, that when people are strung out on drugs, their thinking is not straight at all or connected in any way to reality and shouldn't be assumed to indicate anything. But hey I'm sure DannyJah and JOrdan know way more about it...because you know, Dr. Drew is only an expert...

I'm not sure why I am wasting my time with responding to you.

But I am far from embarrassed, I understand her and I understand addiction, she is a different person when she is not drunk or on drugs.
She is an addict, but there is no disgrace in supporting or having compassion for a fellow addict. As for the sex tape, that was done under the influence of drugs and her needing money for drugs, the comments to the police were made by her when she was drunk and angry. And as said before she is far from a racist.

I have even tattoo'd her signature on my back 2 years ago and I have no regrets and I am even more supportive of her now.

I have faith that she will do the right thing for her child and she will get sober! She just needs more professional help adn I am confident this story will have a happy ending!

The thing is all the new stuff we're hearing about - all the stuff that makes it "worse and worse" - didn't just happen; they are things that were set in motion a month plus ago before she was even arrested. The sex tape thing was before she even went to rehab in California in July, when she was so desperate for drugs that she would do just about anything. And since she actually apparently talks about doing this tape on both the rehab show and on Tyra Banks, she had already taken the step of admitting how low and pathetic she had gotten. The pregnancy undoubtedly predates her relapse and latest arrest as she was still in rehab in Calif. a little over a month ago; she just evidently found out about it in jail.

So yes, the news keeps getting worse, but as to whether she has been trying to get her act together since the latest arrest, we don't actually know. She might be trying hard right now to get back on the right track, but there's no way of knowing. Guess we'll get a glimpse of what has really been happening lately when she finally appears before the court on Jan. 7. If it's clear there that she hasn't accepted responsibility for what has happened then she probably is hopeless. I'll still pray for her then, but I'll stop posting.

yeah im not completely believing it yet. but i definitely don't doubt it.

Jess was my favorite on AI4, but anyone who insults police like that does not deserve respect in my book. My dad works 10 hour days out there to support his family, and people who get on their high horse, drunk/high or not, and talk down to those who serve and protect like that lose my respect. Especially celebrities who serve as role models to millions of people.

I can understand addiction and initially respected her for going to rehab, but she hasn't learned a thing. Yeah, let's go party and get trashed 10 nights after I film a program advocating rehab. Oh, and to top it off lets joke about it on my Myspace profile (look at her pictures- she thinks its a game: "I want my meds") and post even more risque pictures.

I DO wish her the best though, because I do care about people and hate seeing ANYONE in a situation like this. I'm not a heartless person. If she can turn this around into something good, which to her credit she is showing signs of doing, I will have nothing but respect for her.

And I love Jessica and Amy. Love their voices that is, not their recent actions.

I am always going to be hoping for the absolute best for Jessica and will also always buy any music she puts out. I want her to get better as do most folks posting here, but she has to want it more than we do for it to matter. I'm hoping that when her court appearance finally comes around on Jan. 7 that it will be obvious that she really does want to make things right again. I know she is a good person at heart and believe, if she is pregnant, that she will turn her life around for the child if not for herself.

Edited to add: Danny, I realize you're probably not still around but the "I want my meds" bit on her MySpace is a ref. to what Jeff Conaway - the guy in the picture - was apparently constantly saying during the filming of the rehab show. It was not a ref to Jessica wanting drugs.
