I remember reading this 2 years ago. This book broke my heart at the end. Oh Rudy. The whole story stuck with me, weeks after reading it. Aside from the heartbreaking plot, I also love the uniqueness of it, how the author used Death's voice. Plus the illustrations! Those were amazing.

I just finished one of Zusak's other books, I Am The Messenger. It's really good.

My favorite book ever. I can read it over, and over, and over again and still cry at the end.
 I'm actually doing my English senior project on this. The assignment is a 4000 word essay on any literature, so most people go for classics/poetry but I went with The Book Thief.  It's the most fun I've had with an essay in a while because I love looking for quotations.--------------------

I got the book a few years ago but it took a back burner until this past summer, when I read half... my goal is to finish it this week. It is so good!
