Watch ‘The Glee Project’ Contestants Perform Katy Perry’s “Firework”

One of these contestants from Oxygen’s new show The Glee Project will be cast in seven episodes of the hit Fox show, Glee! Do you already have a favorite contestant to cheer on?

The Hollywood Reporter has the first look at the 12 contestants (narrowed down from 40,000) who will compete for a guest spot on Glee.

The Glee Project is produced by Glee’s co-creator Ryan Murphy, executive producer Dante Di Loreto, and reality producers Michael Davies and Shauna Minoprio.

Okay I'm not following this show but I did just watch that video. I don't want to sound judgmental or anything since I'm not following the show but are they seriously going to pick one of them to be a cast on Glee?!

I really like the current cast and I do not see any of those guys fitting with them. I think I'm also oppose to this contest concept as well. I thought Glee was an actual Emmy nominated prime time scripted show, and not some corporate marketing machine only designed to make money. It kinda makes it seem that Ryan Murphy is a sell out that he is just letting "anyone" to his show.

I really adored watching Lea, Cory, Chris and Amber's original auditions. I was hoping the show stays true and picks talented people who didn't have to rely on a talent competition to become part of the show.

Maybe for the next generation Glee cast, they could allow some of these guys in, but to me they will always be those people who won a contest.

Also, what does this mean to other members of the cast who have been severely neglected like Tina!

hey everyone i dont know if this has been made a topic yet, but has anyone watched the glee project If anyone has who are your favorites I like pretty much everyone but my favorites are Matheus, Samuel and Damian... I know the show just started but im excited to see who gets pick to be on the show.

So I started watching this show and I really like it! I love the whole approach, like finding people who have distinct characters who embrace themselves, which makes sense for how they would fit into Glee. I can see a few of them on there but so far, I really like Matheus. His performance night was the best. Ryan and the other guy's reactions were just priceless.

I really like this show. I love Ellis but she got voted out for being too negative. Well, being too negative can be a character in Glee tho. I feel like some of them are like a young version of the original glee cast.

I'm really enjoying this show. My favorites are Lindsay, Marissa, Cameron, and Damian, Out of those 4 I think Damian is the weakest performer, but he's so cute! I'm rarely one of those fangirls who likes a guy just because he's cute, but I have a little crush on him. I hope one of those 4 win.

I don't like Emily and Lindsay. Emily just annoys me, and while I really like Lindsay's voice, her attitude has been really off putting to me....

Lindsey is an amazing singer, but she doesn't have a nice personality. And this may be unpopular, but Mattheus's bottom 3 performance wasn't endearing to me, it was obnoxious and based on the performance alone he should have gone home

Totally agreeing with you about mattheus. I would keep Ellis than him in that kind of performance. PFFFT I think they kept him because he is different cuhs he's height is very unique.

I just caught a commercial. The show is going to air in Canada at Slice (Rogers channel 41) on June 26 Sunday at 9pm ET. It is obviously going to be late a couple of episodes. I don't like the idea of a contest for a Glee cast but I think I will check it out.
