FAVORITE PERFORMANCE: White Flag

I haven't followed Diana as closely over the years as I have with my other favorites,
but Diana still holds a special place in my heart for being the contestant that got me invested in X Factor.
I really dug both her voice and several of her performances.


24 | CARLY RAE JEPSEN | CI5, THIRD

FAVORITE PERFORMANCE: Torn
FAVORITE SONG: Call Me Maybe. I would link it, but who hasn't heard it by now?

When I started watching the fifth season of Canadian Idol,
I wasn't all that big on Carly Rae.
But as the weeks went by,
she ended up becoming my favorite of the season easily.

FAVORITE SONG: Just Like You

As you can all tell,
Allison has unfortunately taken a bit more of a stumble for me.
It's quite weird considering how much I stanned for this girl during her season
(she was my favorite female contestant at one point)
but I guess her basically disappearing after Jive dropped her contributed to that.
I can't wait to see what she does with Nitro Circus,
and hopefully it'll move her back up on my rankings.
Because I need to have more female favorites.

FAVORITE SONG: What is Love

This ranking is probably a bit surprising to some people,
but Jackie is easily my favorite American Idol semi-finalist.
She was my favorite of the Top 36 coming into season 8,
and my love for her definitely hasn't faded.
If anything, I think I have her too low on this list,
but I'm not gonna bother trying to fix it now.
Her music is really catchy and original,
so I think Idol definitely could've benefitted from her being in the finals.
