Brandon was better in contemporary, but Mark was better in hip-hop. I'd say they were pretty equal in the ballroom we saw from them. But I would give Mark the edge in personality and performance quality, which are also contributors to what makes someone a "good contestant".

I see your point. Mark was better in hip-hop, but Brandon wasn't bad at it (personally I think the hip-hop he was given on the show wasn't that great). Also, I preferred Brandon's solos, but I understand that it's too completely different styles, so it's like apples and oranges.
