  1. Mark Franklin posted that power ranking on Facebook, and these are the mentions in the comments. These things are highly spammable, so take it with a grain of salt. I feel like there might be some of that from Triston’s fans, which seems obvious if you scroll through the entire list of comments. On the other hand, he has fans dedicated enough to spam a Facebook post, while most of the others probably do not. Triston 74 Will 55 Mia 7 Abi 6 Emmy 4 KB 4 Jack 3 Mckenna 1 Kayko 1 Does Franklin’s following consist of almost exclusively country fans? https://facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid02Gq2wKL6hmCSkx5xov1t5dgQbTHyLrCk3986fpSfeywtaXxkKgGyfiag6cfuJxJzel&id=100069006704523
  2. Will has some CCR covers, so I think that’s a possibility for him, if they can get one cleared.
  3. Yes, many vote for their favorite coach’s contestants, which might also have something to do with the lower follower numbers. If you don’t like the coach, you’re probably less likely to follow those contestants. It’s a terrible format for the contestants, but great for the coaches and NBC.
  4. If either Abi or KB make the top 5, will they be able to record a single with BBR, given their contractual relationship with Groundwork? I would hope there’s a clause in their current contract that addresses this, or it could be messy.
  5. If Mark Franklin says so, it must be true. If it's a power ranking, I'd flip Triston and Will, and #3 is way too high for KB. He's always liked KB. https://idolchatteryd.com/ranking-the-top-14-on-american-idol-2/ Triston is a little green, but he's a perfect TV character. He's not my first choice, but I wouldn't be mad if he won. Will probably doesn't need it...he'll be fine either way. I'm not sure from this group who the label might be interested in, besides those two, honestly. Maybe Emmy?
  6. Idol is much more aggressive on social media. They post a lot more about about the contestants, tagging them, etc. The Voice posts more about the coaches, and less frequently in general. It’s up to the contestants to keep those “followers” engaged. That’s easier said than done.
  7. Is the person who came forth with this info on Kayko’s song choice someone know to have credible sources?
  8. I don’t usually do these rankings, but here we go: 1. Will 2 McKenna 3. Triston 4. Abi 5. Mia 6. Roman 7. Jayna 8. Emmy 9. Jack 10. Nya 11. Julia 12. Kayko 13. KB 14. Jordan
  9. My prediction is either Nya, Triston, or Jordan will take the W We will both be right.
  10. Will: “Purple Rain”, and there just happens to be a video of him singing it today. I doubt this will be his song, and it would be a risk, but one worth taking, IMO. https://facebook.com/groups/1081024632987417/permalink/1100075627748984/
  11. He did two lives today, singing in both of them. I don’t think he can stop. He kept saying, “last song,” but still kept taking requests. 5-6 songs later, he was still saying, “last song.” The comment about getting his voice back to where he wants it to be, made me wonder if he wasn’t at full strength this week.
  12. This rendition of “Purple Rain” is awesome. I’d be very tempted to pull this out for rock and roll hall of fame week. It’s from one of two lives he did today. There’s apparently no such thing as vocal rest for him. I caught a bit of his second live tonight, and he said he lost his voice last week, and got it back just in time for his performances. He did a lot of long lives, before that, taking requests and singing for hours. https://facebook.com/groups/1081024632987417/permalink/1100075627748984/ There are a few other clips from this live on this same account. Triston and Jordan were there too.
  13. A different show, but the best example I can I can think of for a winner who did a lot of uptempo, and excelled at it is Chevel Shepherd. I wouldn’t recommend for anyone, though. That’s her wheelhouse. I also remember some promising runs stalled by going uptempo, just one time. That’s why they don’t do it.
  14. There’s always this one, which was your best performance on TV IMO, and generated a lot of Facebook love.
