Freddie is one of my all time favorites and he had an epic voice and musical knowhow but I always said that Adam was even better

Freddie is one of my all time favourites too. A lot of it is a matter of preference. I prefer Freddie's voice because it has a rawer edge to it, which I tend to like. But I think Adam is technically better. Another thing I loved about Freddie was his fantastic showmanship. And that's one of the things I noticed about Adam when I first saw him.

They received tremendous applause!!
The host asked them for their tour and of course the question about their vocalist came up. So he asked how did they meet, Brian and Roger told the story of AI and how they were fascinated by his incredible voice, etc... we all know how they bert...
The host said that Adam must be young, a totally different generation, how old is he?? Then Brian said - he is only 30, but very confident and smart and he definitely knows what he is doing when he goes up on stage. Of course we help him out, we are like his parents...
Then they went on talking about Queen Extravaganza, Brian played guitar a little and it was over soon after that

I agree with you. Adam is technically better, but I adored Freddie. No one was a showman like he was. Adam could develop into one as good as Freddie, but he isn't there yet. When you saw Queen in concert, you always felt Freddie was doing everything for you. He was wonderful!!!!

Adam is my number two, and the only other person besides Freddie who could do Queen songs justice. He has the range and the emotion. But if I was able to choose between Freddie with Queen or Adam with Queen - Freddie wins.

Not a knock on Adam - just my love for Freddie!!

Freddie is part of my childhood and early teens - literally! His voice is carved into my brain and I would immediately recognize it anywhere (just like with Adam). I was very sad when he died. It's hard for me to say that I think Adam's voice is even better but with all my huge love for Freddie and Queen's epic music, I was never this obsessed with Queen. I just know I've NEVER heard a voice like Adam's and NEVER will. That was my immediate reaction when I heard him in SF about 5 seconds into his singing and he didn't even do 5% of what we know he can do with it during that audition. It was all THE TONE!

Funny that my first ever post on these boards was in GD starting a thread saying Adam was Freddie's successor for which I was promptly FLAMED and shown the way to this place

Anyway, it's all good

Brian and Roger are two extraordinary men and for them to embrace Adam into their group, is really special. Adam has said several times that Brian and Roger are like two proud Papas and they turn around and say they are like his parents, really tells us just how close they are. They above anyone recognize how extraordinary Adam is and they just want to be there as the rest of the world catches up.

Awww Brian & Roger berting is so cute and I love they have such confidence and affections towards him.

As for Freddie vs Adam...no offense but Freddie is in a league of his own and has no equal in my view. He played instruments, his voice and range was insane, the songs Queen wrote are epic and his showmanship on stage was a thing to behold. I can understand why Adam looked up to him so much and I truly believe there is no one else who can do him justice like Adam can.
