I'm actually glad, I think it shows that the president's approval ratings could be affecting this. I mean the Mayor of pittsburgh that just got elected was a democrat, when people around here still drve around with a confederate flag on the back of their trucks.  --------------------

 That is a crime.  , Hopefully in 2008 we can get a democrat in there and get the troops out of Iraq. I hope Bush knows the war and Katrina are the reasons his ratings are going down, as well as the elected republican officials.--------------------

Where I live, in Arizona, 2 democrats were elected to office... they are now in charge around here and that's the first time that's happened in 5 years.

 Yeah, for some reason in NJ on a local level they vote for Republicans but for state and national elections they vote Democrat. There were guys going around my town asking if you voted and whether you voted for Corzine or not. Obviously I have a Corzine sign in my yard, so my parents and brothers voted for him  --------------------

Sometimes, the Democrats are so corrupt that you actually WANT the Republicans to win.
Take my county for example. The trustee (a Democrat) wanted to use tax dollars to build a giant recreation center instead of contributing them to the cash-strapped school district. She continued to lie and say it is illegal to do that, even though numerous people pointed out that it IS possible to do so. So when voters overwhelmingly rejected the proposal to build the center, she got on the news and called everyone ignorant. Election time comes around. The four front runners are two Democrats (the liar and a man who supports the liar) and two Republicans (who once wrote a letter defending my mom (long story) and promised to contribute as much money as possible to the struggling schools). Who gets elected? The Democrats. I know Bush sucks, but not all Republicans are evil. --------------------

I really hope there is a democrat as president in 2008. I'm glad Wisconsin has voted democratic in the last 2 elections. Even if in both it was a major swing state.

I was hoping for a Democrat back when Al Gore SHOULD have won as President.
 Then I was thinking after seeing Bush for 4 years, America would choose Kerry (although he wasn't the BEST ever, I liked most of his ideas) -- but no Kerry either.  I'm praying that in 2008, we go Democrat. I don't wanna be shipped off to war!--------------------

I'll be so mad if another republican gets in.
 I'm worried about Illinois though. We've always been a democratic state, but our governor is a complete IDIOT. (I'm a democrat and so is he, but please.) They should get another democrat into office in his place, otherwise I'm afraid a republican will get into office and Illinois will become a red state. I really hope I'm wrong. --------------------
