I've read A Thousand Splendid Suns, too. I still like the Kite Runner a little better, though. I don't know, anything that has to do with friendship just gets me.

Haven't read it but I enjoyed the movie. It felt rushed after the fantastic first act, and it was extremely depressing, but I liked it.

I thought the movie was different from the book. I liked the book better. But that's all me lol.

I read it for school, and it was the first required book we've had to read that I loved. Yeah, it's really depressing, but the idea of redemption comes off more realistically than I have seen or read in other books or movies.
Definitely reading A Thousand Splendid Suns in the future. --------------------
