Next week's theme is supposedly "Grand Ole Opry".
I would love to hear Alexis sing Maybe it Was Memphis by Pam Tillis. From the list I saw, here on IDF, that song is on it as being cleared for singing. I'm not a country music fan but I adore this song and think that Alexis could own it and make it her's!!! I think it's a real good song but i think she would suit 'Why Haven't I Heard From You ?' by Reba McEntire a whole lot better. It's really her style and i think she would sound amazing.

I think Alexis could do well singing Maybe It Was Memphis or Why I Haven't Heard From You. Another song I think she could sing well is She's In Love With The Boy by Trisha Yearwood.

I effing love Maybe It Was Memphis. Alexis's voice is so versatile, I could see her pulling off so many of these songs. My faves for her.

I love to hear her sing something country that wasn't really her genre and yet make it her own, Broken Wing?
I really don't care for Reba's voice (her comedy can be good when hosting) but I think Alexis could totally make me like a reba song haha. --------------------

If she is going to the dirty thing again i could see Alexis performing "Last Name". She has a powerful voice and she has a little bit of Carrie Underwood in her voice but i think it wouldn't be the greatest choice. I can see the judges screwing her and some people could be unconfortable with the fact that she is going "dirty" again. Still, she could perform it amazingly well.

reba - why haven't i heard from you.
she'll knock it out of the park. i'd avoid all of carrie underwood songs. sure she sang BHC during hollywood but at this stage, i wouldn't want her to sing another idol winner's song. heck she'd do great with reba's fancy too...although it's probably too close to dirty diana. (a song about prostitution)  --------------------
