I saw on Mjsblog that Just Sam is going to be performing on Sundays show. Does she have new music out? Haven't heard from her in a while.

The theme is "Songs from Your Birth Year" so a lot of these won't work.

Are we getting duets on Monday?

McKenna's voice wasn't the best, but that Chicago song made no sense on any level for her. She needs to go back to the piano and choose a song similar to her mother's that has a limited range but with emotion. She needs to beat Abi at her own game.

When will they come out with the songs for tonight? Is TIP going to spoil them?

Unfortuantely, they will never go back to the original format. Idol used to make SO much money and have so many viewers so they could produce as many live shows as they wanted. Currently, audition episodes are the cheapest to produce and the most watched - so they focus on those - 6 weeks of auditions. Live shows are expensive and they want to do as few of those as possible.

I am told Kayko scrapped his original idea of using the choruses for "I love rock and roll" and adding his original verses about the music he writes. Not sure if he was told no or it just didn't work.

Going to be lots of stripped back, unplugged rock songs Kayko is also reportedly trying to work with the producers where he uses the chorus of a popular rocksong and does original lyrics in the verses.

So far here is what we know. Mackenzie a stripped back version "I'll never love again" just his voice and piano Jordan Anthony a stripped back version of "When the party's over" just his voice and his guitar Abi Carter a stripped back version of "Welcome to the Black parade" just her voice and a hint of piano Kayko an original song just him and his piano Is this "unplugged/no band week"?

He will probably drag it out and make the reveal a big production tomorrow. In 3 hours, I will post the American Idol finalists and their song choices In 1 hour, I will post the finalists and song choices and they will come out very slowly.

I was excited to learn that the Battles were ending today and the Knockouts were about to start until I realized that next Monday 4/1 is a clip show for 2 hours and no Tuesday episode. My question is what is the purpose of these clip shows? Are casual fans really tuning in now and not knowing who any of these people are? Why not just have an extra week of live shows - it will certainly get better if not comparable ratings to a clip show?

Hollywood week starts usually with Lines of 10 and they sing a song and they make cuts from there. Then, a solo performance (it has also been known as the genre challenge) and then duets or groups. Finally, the Idol band shows up the last day for a "Showstopper Performance"

How is she allowed? She came in 8th place

Didn't Alyssa Raghu come in 8th in Season 17? How is she eligible to compete again?
