American Idol Re-Do [Phil Style], I see room for one more on this bandwagon. Options

AMERICAN IDOL RE-DO [PHIL STYLE]

So I've been seeing all these re-do's and they've all given me my ticket on this bandwagon to do all ten seasons over again. Some have made me go 'WTF' and some I've agreed with. But after realizing that all the bitching and complaining I do about all your re-do's will not ever make me happy, I've decided to do my own. Okay? Okay. K.

THINGS TO KEEP NOTE OF:
1. I can't remember a good amount of any of the semi-finalists from Season 1 or 2 to save my life so to be 'fair' or whatever, I'll be doing both those re-do's with the original finalists.
2. The save will not be in these re-do's. F*ck that. It was stupid and it was wasted all three seasons.
3. A contestant cannot go home on a night they weren't in the Bottom 3 or 2 aside from those who were originally eliminated prior to that stage of the competition.
4. The order of eliminations for each season aren't the order of favourites of mine because I'm sticking to the rule above. I've planned out all ten re-do's so far and I'm disgusted that some of my favourites still go home early in my re-do's.
5. There's a good chance you'll disagree with my list but that's fine. Voice your opinion. Say what you want. I've heard it all before.
6. American Idol would be much better and there would be a whole lot less bitching had Idol gone down like the way I do it.

SEASON 1 RE-DO [FINALS]
So I first started watching this the night Tamyra got eliminated. This was the first season and as a whole, the group was very mediocre for me. Only a few stood out. All the guys were below average and the five of them should have formed together to make a boyband because none of them were strong enough vocalists to go solo. Holler. So here we go and as I already said, I don't remember enough of the semi-finalists to do this re-do from the Top 30 so it's just from finals onwards.

WEEK 1 - Motown
10th Place. Jim Verraros
Performed: "Easy" (The Commodores)


9th Place. EJay Day
Performed: "My Girl" (The Temptations)


Bottom 3: Nikki McKibbin

Good news: LOVE Motown music. Bad news: HATE these two singing Motown. I think it was stupid to have a double elimination on Top 10 night but the fact that these two left made it worth it. Both were below average. Jim leaves first because "Easy" was terrible and boring. I felt nothing when he sang, he was like paper. And EJay leaves because "My Girl" was bad but not as bad as "Easy". His "I'll Be" is actually good but seriously, I think both him and Jim are way below average which makes me question how horrible was the rest of the Top 30? Simon manages to tear both Jim and EJay a new one the night before their terminationseliminations. Nikki hits the Bottom 3 with her not-so-stellar performance.

WEEK 2 - 1960s

8th Place. AJ Gil

Another guy leaves. HOORAY! Everytime AJ sings, it sounds to me like he's trying so hard to be romantic and he just ends up sounding like a hopeless romantic instead. His voice is cheesy and annoys me so he leaves exactly where he left on Idol. The only thing different about this week is Ryan is sent back to the couches before Christina because I think she performed better on this night so get it!

WEEK 3 - 1970s
7th Place. Justin Guarini

So another guy leaves LOL. Justin goes home because out of him, Ryan and Nikki, he's clearly the worst. His voice was really weak and guaranteed had it not been for his hair, he wouldn't have been in that finale. America had low standards to take him all the way to the Top 2 so I'm giving them a much needed reality check and getting rid of him here. So now the finale will definitely be something new, yay!

WEEK 4 - Big Band

6th Place. RJ Helton

*wipes hands together* And that's the last of the guys, phew. RJ leaves in 6th. The final average guy. Christina should have been safe this night but instead RJ was. Well not in this re-do. We send RJ packing at 6th and America joins hands and rejoices as an all female Top 5 prepare for the upcoming week.

WEEK 5 - Burt Bacharach Love Songs
5th Place. Ryan Starr

Aww so we have to send a girl home now. Ryan leaves because her performance just doesn't go. PS, I don't know if INLTWA is a Burt Bacharach love song but I saw it performed on Austin Powers 2 by him and some of the Idols sang Dionne Warwick songs on this night so get off of me. She's a sexy fierce bitch (a la photo above) but talent wise, she can't compare to the other four so I have to send her home here. It's not all bad news though she gets eliminated and gets signed to some modelling agency, get it Ryan!

WEEK 6 - 1980/1990s

4th Place. Nikki McKibbin
Performed: "Mary Jane" (Alanis Morissette) & "I'm the Only One" (Melissa Etheridge)

The original rocker of American Idol leaves in 4th Place. She cracks under the pressure and doesn't deliver. Tamyra still gets the Bottom 2 slot so bitches will have more of a reason to power vote her into the finale. Nikki leaves with her head up high but the public is shocked that Christina (reasident Bottom 2 whore) avoids the Bottom 2.

WEEK 7 - Contestant's Choice & Judges' Choice
3rd Place. Christina Christian
Performed: "Fallin'" (Alicia Keys) & "Fever" (Peggy Lee)

So she may have avoided the Bottom 2 last week but there's no running this week Christina, your time is up. Girl is sexy with "Fever" but "Fallin'" (her own choice) comes off as karaoke according to Simon. He can shove it. Just saying. Her elimination is a tearful one but also an expected one as it was pretty much her (David) against Kelly and Tamyra (Goliath and Goliath). She stood no chance and everyone knew that but she did what she could.

WEEK 8 - Finale
Runner Up. Tamyra Gray
Performed: "Before Your Love" (Kelly Clarkson), "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" (Jennifer Holliday) & "A Moment Like This" (Kelly Clarkson)

So the dream finale everyone wished and hoped for happens! Kelly wins. Tamyra puts up one hell of a fight but falls short. This is how the finale should have been. I would have been fine with either winning but there's no denying Kelly, the queen of Idol, was and is the rightful winner of American Idol. And these two would make a much better movie than the horror that was 'From Justin To Kelly', maybe the two bond together to do one where they go on Spring Break with their hot girlfriends and sing on the beach. Except there's obviously no cheesy love story. Don't even know if there was one in in FJTK but it seems that way from the title alone. Anyways Kelly takes home the title. As it should be and was.

Glad you took that dare Sahara! I agree with you, I probably would have had 10 girls in the Finals. I would have had EJay higher than the other guys but because of that rule I kept and none of them Bottom'ed then I couldn't. Believe me Justin would have been gone a lot sooner had that been the case. Yay for the season getting a huge save! I was debating at first between Tamyra and Christina making Top 2 with Kelly but I think Tamyra versus Kelly would have definitely been more 'epic'.

LOL yay for you overall liking this season!
