Not even close to my favorite song on the album so I have reservations. I think Dark Side would have been a better choice.

Then again....just listened to it and its growing on me again.....but I love all of Kellys songs so XD

I pray to God this is the case! I've said all along I think this is only other sure-thing big hit on the album! I just hope it survives the smear campaign! DarK Side fans, it will be better as a fall single and I'm sure it will be the 4th.

I for one am happy about this as long as they give WDKY room to breathe and do it's thing. I'm glad Dark Side isn't a single because, despite all of the people who seem to want it to be released as one, I honestly don't think it would do well on the radio.

No I agree I don't think there will be a smear campaign I was just saying there are some fans that are none too happy.

I don't really care either way personally. I like Dark Side better mainly because its a different theme than any of her singles she has released and shows off her voice more live. Thats about it. Doesn't matter though since WDKY is the only song on the album I see as a potential megahit.

Me too, but to be honest, when they release IFY, everybody will probably still be focused on WDKY anyway. As long as LET ME DOWN is released eventually.

Some people on here have no clue what would be a hit or not.

I Forgive You is the definition of a hit...it has all the key components...catchy chorus, great hook and melody and simple lyrics (all things DS lacks btw).

Ya I am glad you are bullish on Kelly.....but belittling others opinions in every thread and making broad and rather absurd claims (such as Stronger era being bigger than Breakaway...lol) is getting a bit obnoxious.

3. I think it could be her biggest era because I feel like she has the most hit potential songs that she's ever had on this album.

I actually don't think anything that he/she said was out of line. Singling someone out and insulting them the way you have though kind of is...

I actually find the way that people have attacked the idea of IFY being a single to be what is bad/obnoxious. I personally don't want "Dark Side" as a single. However, if it is eventually released as a single I wouldn't be the one to go on and on about how it shouldn't be. I would just say how I don't think it's a good choice personally, but hope that I am proven wrong.

I feel as though a lot of fans are sabotaging IFY with their reaction before it's even released as a single with the way they keep going on and on about it, particularly at the pulse boards.

I personally think it'll be hard pressed to beat Breakaway just because of the difference in the economy and album sales, but I do think that sales-wise it has potential to be the biggest since Breakaway.

I would love it if it were bigger though. Show all of the new school Idol kids that the Queen still reigns supreme.

I don't think she'll sell as many albums because of the reasons you listed, but it terms of relevance and exposure, I think she'll reach that same level again with this era.

I probably overreacted.....but I really don't see any venom against IFY on these board so you claims that people art attacking it ring very hollow to me. If these attacks are happening on other forums then it should be discussed on those forums.

Well I'm just discussing the Kelly Clarkson fandom as a whole. Reaction here hasn't been as bad, but this is the Kelly Clarkson forum and the thread is discussing the single and thus the reaction to it EVERYWHERE is completely appropriate.
