I know this decision is probably just as controversial as when I didn't put Lacey Schwimmer in the top 10. I think Jessica was robbed IRL. She's a beautiful dancer who nailed several difficult styles. Heidi, on the other hand, is one of the worst muggers in sytycd history. I know she went on to grow and do some great routines, but I wasn't that impressed with her pre-top 10 performance.

Ivan: Your hip-hop was good, but you're a hip-hop dancer; we expect that from you. the waltz, while better than some of your past performances, was not very good.

Allison: You're a terrific dancer. You had some bad luck last night getting a Tyce Broadway routine. It was hard to decide which two girls to put in the bottom.

It was hard to be objective on this one. All 8 of them are great dancers in different ways. In the end, it came down to who I thought had done the best up to this point in the competition.

Why I don't like Benji: I recognize that Benji is a great dancer. He's also a horrible mugger, which I detest.

I like Donyelle a lot. I think I would have liked her more if she hadn't been paired with Benji. Dmitry or Musa would have been much better partners.

Expected, I know, but Travis really put forth the best showing out of all the dancers. In addition to nailing every style he was given, he also provided entertaining sound bites like "Salsa is what I put on my chips." and "Buck like a Buccaneer."

I'm surprised you like Benji, since he's the worst mugger in the history of sytycd. (To be fair, I've only watched US season 2-8, and part of S1, but out of all of those, he's the worst.)

Benji was a very good dancer though. He mugged, but he was enjoyable (for me) and it never really took him out of the routine. Also, I felt he was the most versatile of the season and the better in his genre than anybody else that season was in theirs.

This decision was fairly easy to make. While I think Michelle went too soon IRL, I don't think she deserves to go any farther than this. Ryan is an amazing breaker, but not very versatile, so this is the end of his journey as well.

Snow never really impressed me in anything except her ballroom routines. Destini never impressed me in anything. Kamilah and Jamile, while awesome in their own styles, really weren't that great in anything else. I love Kamilah, but that "Maniac" solo was a major fail. I prefer "Touch" and "Tipsy" to "Shake." (probably because of Destini.)

So, these are my six favorite (and arguably the six best) season one dancers. This is the hard part, where I try to decide if I want to put my favorites in the finale or try to reward the dancers who most deserve to be there, based on their performances in this redux and in real life.

Melody made me like a Tyce Broadway routine. The only other time this has happened was Ellenore & Jakob in the S6 finale.

Ashle is the definition of fierce. She nailed everything she was given. She deserved her spot in the finale.

I've gone back and forth about Nick while watching this season. I think that I've held him to a higher standard because he's the real life winner, but he's had some great routines, and harldy any miss-steps.

This might seem like a strange choice, but Artem had some amazing routines throughout the season. Granted, he had a lot of ballroom routines, but we can't fault him for that.

Melissa and Blake were two of my early favorites, but my love for them fizzled towards the end. They're both amazing dancers. In real life, I wish Blake had made the finale over Jamile, but I feel like Artem is more deserving than Blake.

Okay, all of my reduxes have been building up to the biggest (and nerdiest) piece of fan-fiction I will ever write. I wanted to watch (and re-watch) all of the seasons before I began putting together. . .

Boogie's Ultimate Fantasy SYTYCD All-Star Extravaganza!!!

That's right, kids. I've been wanting to do this for a while, but I hadn't seen all of the seasons. I still have not seen any international seasons (go ahead and chastise me for that), so this is my ultimate fantasy all-star season of sytycd US seasons 1-8.

Here's how it works: I chose three of my favorite dancers from each season (obviously not my top 3, because in some cases that was hard to do, and in other cases I made decisions based on diversity and not splitting up some of my favorite sytycd couples - more on this later). This means there will be a total of 24 amazing dancers in this ultimate all-star event.

After picking the top 24, I paired them into couples so that no two dancers from the same season were paired, and no dancers were paired with a dancer he or she had danced with IRL.

In addition to selecting 24 of my favorite dancers, I've also chosen 102 of my favorite routines (obviously not my 102 favorite, in order, because I wanted there to be some diversity among dance styles and dance seasons).

So, this is the cream of the crop for me. 24 of my favorite dancers and 102 of my favorite dances!!

This is super nerdy, and I acknowledge that, so it makes it okay. I'm going to have fun with this whether anyone decides to follow or not. If you do decide to follow, let me know, and feel free to comment.
