  1. Country artists in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame include Dolly, Willie Nelson, & Johnny Cash. Then there are artists who have dabbled & charted in country such as Sheryl Crow, Linda Ronstadt, John Mellencamp, etc.
  2. Question: The voting last night did not open until after the show. Did this impact or change the results & the Top 10 that was voted through or did it not matter?
  3. They are bringing the Idol contestants to CMA Fest. It's not just ABC. The last few seasons of FOX with Scott Borchetta as the label head also did the same thing. Nick Fradiani, Clark Beckham, Trent Harmon, etc. all were at CMA Fest due to Borchetta. Since the current label is mostly related to country music, it makes sense to go to CMA Fest.
  4. Katy probably fought for him. She did say he gave an A performance.
  5. The previous ABC Idol seasons contestants have said the producers tell them to write a list of songs they want to sing during the show. They will try to get them cleared. As long as there isn't a theme week, previous contestants have said they got songs that were on their list. Maybe it's not the first song on their list, but the one's that have talked about song choices have said songs were on their list they performed.
  6. I was unsure of putting Triston as a frontrunner. Even though he's not my favorite, I picked him to win this season. Prior to last night, I was still considering him as a dark horse. He did well last night that I'm considering him more of a frontrunner, but I'm still unsure about labeling him that. If there's a tier in between dark horse & frontrunner that's where I would put Triston right now.
  7. IMO KB was the potential dark horse. The frontrunners are Abi & Will.

  9. I think if they keep Lionel & Luke, I don't think they want another judge that is a country artist. It has to be someone big enough to give buzz to the judging panel since Katy is leaving.
  10. She was 15 when she auditioned for Idol. That was also the at home Idol season. If the season had normal shows like usual, I think the season & the finalists would have been different.
  11. I don't think the producers want them for the Top 2. I think they want Abi as one of the Top 2. However, I think it's possible the audience might make this the Top 2. It depends how Triston does at the live shows because if he doesn't do well I could see him be eliminated earlier. I definitely think Will will be in the Top 3 right now.
  12. CCUSA has Scotty as a host for 4/20-21 & Lainey the following week. Do you think it coincides with his push to #1 or not? If Scotty is pushing for #1 his hosting week, unless it's a huge push I think he could be too far back in spins & AI. Same with Lainey the following week.
